While it is the goal of every student driver to pass their RTA driving test on the first try, the fact is that many students will fail and need to repeat the test for various reasons. Some people have had to repeat the test 4 or 5 times before they finally pass. Even small mistakes can result in a failure on the driving test. For example, some common mistakes are observations with head checks and going into a multi lane roundabout too quickly.

While it may seem that the RTA officials are being too picky about driving test standards, it doesn’t help to get frustrated. The best course of action is to learn from your mistakes and listen to any advice they offer so that you can increase your chances of passing the test on your next attempt.
